Trovando il tempo tra un tour con i RHCP e uno con Chicknfoot, mettendo insieme i minuti tra una decorazione della batteria e una distruzione della stessa, il nostro infaticabile Chad Smith è riuscito anche a realizzare un album solista che uscirà negli Usa il 15 settembre

L’album solo di Chad dovrebbe chiamarsi Chad Smith’s Bombastic Meatbats: Meet The Meatbats‘. L’album conterrà 10 tracce strumentali e, per gli amanti dei dettagli, è stato scritto nella villa di Malibu.

Le influenze sono quelle che sospettavamo: il rock inglese degli anni 60 e 70. E siamo sempre li.
“My influences, through my brother, were so many of the groups that came out of England in the late ’60s and early ’70s. Led Zeppelin’s John Bonham, Ginger Baker from Cream, Deep Purple with Ian Paice…those groups were the ones that I really loved”
