Ci eravamo preoccupati, forse vi eravate preoccupati anche voi, nel leggere che i Chickenfoot, la superband con Joe Satriani, Chad Smith, Sammy Hagar, Michel Anthony, aveva cancellato il concerto di Madrid di lunedì scorso, primo luglio.

Chad si era fatto male suonando a Parigi il 29 “during the show he hurt his right arm badly. He has torn his small bicep and cannot play the show Weds July 1st”. Se avete visto suonare Chad, la cosa non dovrebbe stupirvi, come potete vedere nel video qui sotto.

Visto che il concerto a Pistoia è solo due giorni dopo, ci siamo preoccupati. Non è che il nostro Chad fa saltare pure la data al Festival Blues in Toscana?

Pare di no, ligi al dovere abbiamo telefonato all’ufficio stampa che ci ha confermato la presenza dei Chickenfoot stasera. Insomma, se ci andate fateci sapere. Tanto più che l’albumo sta andando benissimo e dopo tre giorni nei negozi, a metà luglio era andato al primo posto su Billboard Indie e al quarto su Billboard Album

Madrid Show Jul 1 Cancelled Due To Injury

We are sorry to inform our Spanish fans that Chickenfoot cannot perform tomorrow night in Madrid due to a serious injury to drummer Chad Smith. Chad was performing on stage last night in Paris and during the show he hurt his right arm badly. He has torn his small bicep and cannot play the show Weds July 1st. The band is very sorry they cannot play for their Spanish fans this week and plan to return as soon as possible.
