Non è una stranezza che uno dei talenti riconosciuti del firmamento musicale affianchi le 6 corde ai tamburi in un gruppo, poi, dove quasi tutti hanno a che fare con le percussioni.
“My whole childhood, I was a drummer,” dice Jack White. “I never wanted to be a guitar player. I thought it was ridiculous. There were thousands of guitar players out there. It’s the first instrument everyone picks up in this modern musical sense. I thought, skip it – I’ll be a drummer. I was more attracted to it anyway, the rhythm of things.”

Il supergruppo comprende Alison Mosshart (The Kills), il chitarrista Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age), il bassista Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs e The Greenhornes) e il batterista/voce Jack White (The White Stripes e The Raconteurs).
